Alfa Romeo claims the Alfa Romeo GT looks a million dollars, but costs considerably less. We wouldn't go that far, but the Alfa Romeo Gt's rarity does mean that familiarity isn't something from which it suffers. Many people won't ever have seen one.
The next Saab 9-3 can't get here quickly enough. A vehicle that was once a quirky alternative is now just an also-ran in a crowded group of superior entry-level luxury vehicles. When the BMW 3 Series Convertible was represented, the only surprise was that it had a folding hard top. Other than that, its discreet looks were typical of the company. The distinctive kidney grille, tapered bonnet, strong shoulder line and sculpted sides were unmistakably BMW, but it seems that's why the company's buyers like its vehicles so much they're subtle.
The 159 is Alfa Romeo’s rival to the Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-class, and BMW 3-series, only it’s cheaper. Base 159s are front-wheel-driven, but the more upscale, 3.2-liter V-6 versions have an optional all-wheel-drive setup.
The E90 automobile platform is the fifth and latest generation of BMW's 3 Series entry-level luxury vehicle / compact executive vehicle. It replaced the E46 sedan and touring models in 2005. The E90's dimensions are larger than its predecessor's in each parameter, and for the first time since the E21, the volume model 320i uses an Inline-4 motor.
The 156 is the alternative to the rather dull executive saloons and will always stand out from the crowd. But the Alfa is more than just style, it delivers great driving pleasure too and although not as sharp as some of its German rivals, it simply oozes charm and character.
It may cost more than comparatively equipped competitors, but the 2012 Volkswagen Golf sweats the details and offers a level of refinement that few can possibly match. Alfa Romeo presents the self-locking front differential ('Q2'), which enhances all the strong points of a front-wheel drive system in terms of active security, increasing driving enjoyment and control. The high-tech system offers some of the pros typical of four-wheel drive, but at a significantly lower cost and weight.
The front-drive 2005 Toyota Celica is a two-door hatchback with two available versions: GT and GT-S. Though the GT has an appealing price tag, its option list is rather scant. You'll get the basics like climate control and a CD player, but performance windows and locks, cruise control and a back wiper are all auxillary.
The Acura RSX two-door sport hatchback comes in two versions: base and Type-s. Both are well-equipped. With the base Acura RSX, you get traditional features such as 16-inch alloy wheels; automatic conditioning; performance windows, locks and mirrors; cruise control; a performance moonroof; a leather-wrapped helm; and a CD player.
The 2012 Honda Accord still has a lot going for it, but we think astute shoppers will find that several of its rivals are now more compelling. Honda Accord Coupe offers the following pros: Ample passenger space; impressive visibility; good fuel efficiency in four-cylinder model; available coupe body style; high resale value.
The 2012 Acura RL is a capable luxury sedan, but newer rivals are more attractive overall. Acura RL Sedan offers the following pros: All-wheel drive; wealth of traditional features; high-class interior; impressive create quality; superb stereo; smart technology interface. Acura RL Sedan drawbacks are: Same size as the less expensive TL; subpar braking distances; no V8 motor offered; aging layout.
Though not quite as compelling as a couple other competitors, the 2012 Acura TSX is nonetheless a smart choice for an entry-level luxury sedan or wagon. Acura TSX Sedan offers the following pros: Cool number of traditional and technology features; roomy interior; sporty handling with V6 sedan and wagon; impressive create and materials class.
