Chevrolet Equinox details:
The 2012 Chevy Chevrolet Equinox is a stylish and convenient entry in the highly competitive small-crossover segment. RAV4 and CR-V shoppers should take notice. Chevrolet Equinox SUV offers the following pros: Luxury exterior inside and out; quiet cab with lots of cargo bins; roomy and adjustable backseat; convenient ride. Chevrolet Equinox SUV drawbacks are: Not quite as much trunk room as chief rivals; some controls difficult to reach; numb and uncommunicative steering.
The 2012 Chevrolet Equinox is available in LS, LT and LTZ versions.
Traditional equipment for the LS contains 17-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, cloth upholstery, a partial performance driver bench (height adjustment only), a sliding and reclining back bench, cruise control, full performance accessories, a tilt-and-telescoping helm with stereo controls, Bluetooth, Onstar and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, radio and an optional stereo slot.
The LT trim level is divided into two various models, with the 1LT adding tinted back windows, roof rack side rails, heated outside mirrors, a rearview camera, luxury cloth upholstery, a leather-wrapped helm and an updated audio system with a 7-inch touchscreen and Ipod/usb stereo interface. Stepping up to the 2LT adds foglamps, remote start, automatic conditioning, heated front seatings, an eight-way performance driver bench, an auto-dimming mirror and an eight-speaker Pioneer audio system. Spring for the top-of-the-line LTZ and you'll get automatic headlights, a performance liftgate, back parking sensors, perforated leather upholstery and driver memory options.
Many of the traditional features found on the upper versions can be added to less expensive models via auxillary packages. Other features include 18- and 19-inch chrome-clad alloy wheels, a sunroof, a navigator and a new forward collision/lane departure warning system. .
