Ford Mondeo details:
The sharp lines of the Ford Mondeo were freshened up in 2010, three years after its release in 2007, and a number of small tweaks have given the big family estate a thoroughly modern exterior. The 2010-onwards model has a new front bumper with a larger lower grille, while the upper grille has been refactored with higher-specification models featuring chrome trims and bright LED lighting. The back sees a pair of LED taillights with an illuminated accent that gives the vehicle a original identity at night, and a new tailgate. A new range of wheels are also provided, including the feature of 19-inch alloy wheels for the first time.

Extra luggage carrying capacity is the Ford Mondeo Estate's main selling point, but its on-paper boot capacity is disappointing compared to its hatchback brother. Loaded safely to the level of the bench backs, there's around 549 litres of room; only nine more than the hatchback but still more than most of its competitors. However, the boot is simple to access, with a flat floor, and the back seatings fold flat (once the bench bases have been flipped forward) to create 1680, litres of room when loaded to the roof. Up front, room is identical to the hatchback, with the wide vehicle product tremendous amounts of room for driver and passenger, and back bench occupants are served equally well.

Five models make up the Ford Mondeo range and all come with the basics Edge, Zetec, Titanium, Titanium X and Titanium X Sport. All models come with a heated front windscreen and washer jets, Bluetooth connectivity, air-con, front and back electric windows, cruise control and a system which prevents incorrect fuelling. All models, bar the Edge have alloy wheels and all Titanium models have LED daytime running lights.
