GMC Acadia details:
Like almost identical models from Buick and Chevy, the three-row 2012 GMC Acadia provides a winning mix of convenience, features, trunk room and performance in a utility-style suite. GMC Acadia SUV offers the following pros: Compliant ride; seats for up to eight passengers; adult-friendly third-row seat; massive trunk area; top security scores. GMC Acadia SUV drawbacks are: Big size hampers maneuverability; some minor dashboard annoyances; compromised back visibility.

The 2012 GMC Acadia is a big crossover SUV provided in five trims: base SL, SLE, SLT-1, SLT-2 and Denali. An eight-passenger seats customization with the second-row seat bench is traditional on the base SL and auxillary on the rest, which get a traditional seven-passenger customization with second-row captain's chairs.

The GMC Acadia SL comes traditional with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, privacy glass, keyless entry, cruise control, back air-conditioning, a tilt-and-telescoping helm, Onstar emergency telematics and a six-speaker audio system with a CD player, radio and an optional stereo slot. The Preferred suite adds remote ignition, a leather-wrapped helm and Bluetooth.

The GMC Acadia SLE gets the Preferred suite traditional, plus a performance liftgate, back parking sensors, an eight-way performance driver bench, a two-way performance passenger bench (manual recline), an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a rearview camera.

The SLT-1 adds 19-inch wheels, updated steering, heated mirrors with turn signal repeaters and integrated blind-spot mirrors, tri-zone automatic conditioning, leather upholstery in the first and second rows (third row vinyl), heated front seatings, an improved trip computer, back bench stereo controls and a 10-speaker Bose audio system with an Ipod/usb stereo interface. The SLT-2 contains power-folding mirrors, driver memory functions, a four-way performance passenger bench and access to add-on features. These include ventilated front seatings and the Technology suite, which adds xenon headlights, a head-up screen and trunk space stereo controls.

The Denali contains all of the Slt-2's auxillary items, plus original look-and-feel flourishes inside and out, 20-inch chrome-clad wheels, increased audio deadening, a wood-trim helm and a panoramic sunroof.

That sunroof is auxillary on all other GMC Acadias except the base SL. The same goes for the rear-seat entertainment system, which contains a Bose surround-sound stereo system. The SLT trims and the Denali can also be equipped with a navigator, which contains real-time traffic and a touchscreen interface. .
