Lexus RX 350 details:
The 2012 Lexus RX 350 leads when it comes to providing a plush ride, a premium cab and everyday utility. For most consumers, those attributes should be enough to overcome its rather uninspiring driving dynamics. Lexus RX 350 SUV offers the following pros: Luxury cab layout and materials; plush ride; composed handling; energetic acceleration; convenient seats front and rear; user-friendly multifunction controller. Lexus RX 350 SUV drawbacks are: No third-seat option; expensive features packages; not as entertaining to drive as sportier competitors.
The five-seat 2012 Lexus RX 350 is a midsize luxury crossover SUV that's provided in one well-appointed trim level.
Traditional features include 18-inch alloy wheels, foglights, heated outside mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, eight-way performance front seatings, a performance tilt-and-telescoping helm, second-row seatings that slide and recline, cloth upholstery, wood dashboard trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth phone and stereo connectivity and a nine-speaker audio system with a Six-cd changer, an optional stereo slot, an iPod/usb slot and radio.
Most features are grouped into packages and can vary by region. The Look suite contains 19-inch wheels and blacked-out headlight trim. The Sports suite also contains 19-inch wheels as well as a sport-tuned suspension and Lexus' Car Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system. The Luxury suite adds a sunroof, auto-dimming look mirrors, leather upholstery, a performance back liftgate, driver-seat memory options and a rear-seat armrest.
The Luxury suite is required for the addition of the Convenience, Luxury and Navigation packages. The Convenience suite adds heated and ventilated front seatings, bi-xenon adaptive headlights with automatic high beams, rain-sensing wipers and an updated 12-speaker audio system. The Luxury suite contains 19-inch wheels, power-retractable outside mirrors, updated leather seats, a right-hand sideview camera, a wood and leather helm and extendable front bench cushions. The Navigation suite features a hard-drive-based navigator (with real-time traffic and voice control), Lexus' Remote Touch interface, a back-up camera, increased Bluetooth functionality and the Enform improved telematics features.
Individual features include front and back parking sensors, a luxury Mark Levinson surround-sound stereo system, a dual-rear-screen DVD entertainment system, a head-up screen and adaptive cruise control paired with the Pre-collision System (which primes the brakes and tightens the seatbelts if a collision is imminent). Some of the different suite features are also available à la carte. .
