Volkswagen Phaeton details:
The Volkswagen Phaeton received a new exterior in 2011, which gives it Volkswagen's latest exterior. That means sleek, angular headlights with LED sidelights integrated into them, while the back gets back lights reminiscent of the latest Golf. Fans of the Volkswagen Phaeton love its understated looks which doesn't cause a fuss, while critics cite its similarity with the Passat as a reason to select a Mercedes S-class or Jaguar XJ.

The Volkswagen Phaeton is a tremendous vehicle, so it comes as no surprise there's masses of room. The cab provides room for four to travel in opulent convenience, but it's still possible to squeeze in a fifth with room to spare. Long wheelbase versions add an add-on 120mm of legroom, substantially improving room. The 500-litre boot provides roughly the same space as the Audi A8 and Jaguar XJ, but around 60 litres less than the Mercedes S-class. There's ample cargo room in the cab, and all-round sensors aid parking.

The Volkswagen Phaeton is well equipped, although it lacks Bluetooth and Ipod connectivity specifying these from the features list will cost around £1000,. Bright xenon headlamps, wood trim, four-zone conditioning, CD autochanger, adjustable suspension, heated electric leather seatings all come as traditional. The long wheelbase version of the 3-litre diesel adds back window sunblinds, back conditionings and an electric glass sunroof. The range-topping 6-litre petrol also features electric seatings with 18-way adjustment, performance operated bootlid and electrically height-adjustable seatbelts.
